Online Casinos in PA Have Generated $5 Billion in Lifetime Revenue
The economy in the state of PA is flourishing. When it comes to US online casino income, the Keystone State is by far the industry leader. Following August’s total of $171.9 million, PA’s lifetime revenue exceeded $5 billion.
Players are reacting to Pennsylvania online casinos‘ frequent updates and the addition of fresh content. The market doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon, though.
A nearly record-breaking August made a big contribution to reaching the $5 billion milestone in lifetime revenue. Over the past 11 months, PA broke the US online casino revenue record on four different occasions and came close to doing it again. The month of August brought in $171.9 million in income, which was less than March’s $181.5 million total. It was the second-best month ever for any state that has a regulated online casino industry.
There is no revenue breakdown by operator reported by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). The Valley Forge Casino license, which collaborates with FanDuel Casino PA and Stardust, however, reported $39.4 million in revenue in August, the highest revenue it has ever generated.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course saw the third-lowest revenue total the license has recorded in 2023. It collaborates with BetMGM Casino PA, DraftKings Casino PA, Barstool, and PointsBet. Penn National saw $68.6 million in revenue in August.
Revenue for August totaled $33.8 million at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, which includes Borgata Casino PA, BetRivers Casino PA, and Sugarhouse.
