The Q1 gaming report from the American Gaming Association was positive for the gaming sector and PA casinos. Three PA casinos were named among the Top 20 Commercial Casinos Outside of Nevada by the AGA:

The three casinos reported impressive revenue totals and competed with casinos from, among others, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Illinois.

The first quarter of 2018 saw gaming revenue in the US surpass records for the eighth time in a row, coming in at $16.6 billion.

According to AGA President and CEO Bill Miller, the US gaming sector has never been stronger after two full years of continuous growth following COVID. American adults continue to prioritize gaming as one of their top forms of entertainment, with gaming seeing record growth across all market segments, from land-based casinos to smartphone gaming.

Some of the Best Casinos in the US Are Found in PA

Despite the enormous rise of internet gambling, land-based casinos continue to thrive across the nation and in PA.

In retail slot machines and table games, the three PA casinos that have been recognized, Parx Casino, Wind Creek Bethlehem, and Rivers Pittsburgh, have been raking in enormous sums of money. Each casino reported the following revenue over Q1 2023:

  • $151 million for Parx;
  • $126.8 million for Wind Creek;
  • $92.2 million for Rivers Pittsburgh.
