For the Fifth Consecutive Strong Month, Pennsylvania Online Casino April Revenue Exceeds $167.2 Million
Despite a decrease from the previous month in PA’s online casino earnings, the state’s gamers continue to deposit and withdraw enormous sums. PA online casinos reported sales of $167.2 million in April. After generating $181.5 million in revenue in the previous month, PA came short of shattering yet another US online casino record.
This is the fifth month in a row that PA online casinos have made more than $160 million. Although it decreased by more than $14 million from March, the state’s income total for April is still the second highest on record.
Online casinos in PA didn’t shatter their all-time record again in April, but they didn’t slow down either. More than $167.2 million in total income was received by the state’s platforms, an increase of 21.2% from the previous year.
April was the fifth consecutive month that Pennsylvania online casinos topped at least $160 million in revenue, maintaining the pattern of leading the pace for other US online gaming markets, even if the total is around $14 million off their record pace from the previous month.
Here’s the revenue breakdown for April 2023:
- Revenue from online slots: $125,685,809;
- Revenue from table games: $38,872,514;
- Revenue from online poker: $2,709,438.
Strong Client Retention Following March Madness and the Super Bowl
April was the second-highest month ever for revenue at PA’s online casinos. Some business owners credit high sales numbers to higher-than-anticipated customer retention after March Madness. In its business report, DraftKings Casino PA cited high revenue results as a result of client engagement and retention.
